Favorite tunes and favorite performances! 

Greetings and welcome to Music Talk 2. Please allow me to provide some context for what we’ll discuss.

I consider myself a musician, a fan of music, a collector of music and a student of music history, culture and the extent to which music is a continuous soundtrack for our lives.

One of the life experiences I’ve dreamed about is to teach a music appreciation course to adults in a community college-type setting. Or on the FM radio someplace.

So until that opportunity comes along, I’ll look to create that experience with this blog. In this blog, let’s contribute our reviews, interpretations and analyses of particular favorite musical pieces, including favorite songs and favorite performances. Those were what we used to call “liner notes” about a song, written inside the album cover .
